National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) an autonomous organisation under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India is organising ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ from 3^rd September to 15^th September 2014. On 3^rd September, the pakhwada program shall be inaugurated and after the inaugural program ‘Hindi Shrutilekh’ Competition shall be held.

NCSM established in the year 1978 is the ‘Largest network of Science Centres/Museums in the world. Science City, and Birla Industrial and Technological Museum are Kolkata based centres of NCSM. In addition to this, National Science Centre, Delhi, Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, Visveshvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru are national level centres under NCSM. Regional and District Science centres function under these national level centres. All the centres shall observe Hindi pakhwada during the period.

On the last day of the Pakhwada, a Hindi workshop has been organised. After the workshop, prizes shall be distributed to the winners of all the competitions held during the pakhwada. In all the competitions three prizes- First, Second and Third shall be given. In addition to this, four persons shall get Consolation Prizes in all the competitions. The prize money for First, Second and Third position shall be Rs. 1000, Rs. 750 and Rs. 500 respectively. Rs. 250 shall be given as consolation prize to each person.
